HALLOWEEN 2020 NACHTMAHR COLLECTION
Halloween is the best best time of year, especially for those seeking the darker, spookier, things that go bump in the night. The Nachtmahr (nightmare) collection is inspired by creatures of the night and dark magic.
Black Phillip (The Witch)
"Woulds't thou like to live deliciously?" Lush black cashmere, aged leather, and cloven hooves dance under the autumn moonlight. Soothing black chamomile and aged honey mingle with vanilla bean, cinnamon, grated nutmeg, cardamom and black peppercorn and are folded into a saucer of rich, warm goat's milk. Earthy vetiver, pureed pumpkin and dark woods conjure to mind a doomed harvest under a harvest moon that yields only ergot and hallucinations.
Key notes - Warm goat's milk, Cloves, Black Chamomile, Aged Honey, Vetiver, Black Cashmere, Aged Black Leather
Cast a spell of seduction with rich, luxurious notes of black rose and warm spices layered upon warm toasted marshmallows and sensuously smooth cashmere. A dark and sultry base of Texas cedar, a full bodied dry wood fragrance, creates an atmosphere of dense resinous forests that accentuates the spices and warmth of the toasted marshmallows. It's hypnotically alluring and dangerously close to conjuring images of a lusty succubus.
Key notes - Toasted Marshmallow, Cashmere, Black Rose, Texas Cedar, Patchouli, Orange Zest, Cinnamon Leaf
A haunting fragrance of black seedlings and vines snaking through dark woods, aged bark, moist lichen, and oozing sweet resin. Follow the dark and foreboding trail to the light that lingers ahead in the distance, the warm glow of a crackling fire and the smell of burning leaves promises sanctuary from the surrounding darkness. Wrap yourself in the warmth of a soft black cashmere scented of amber, rose, cedar, sweet mandarin, golden saffron, tobacco, white chocolate truffle, and white pepper. Close your eyes and tell yourself it's nothing, it's nothing, it's nothing in the dark as notes of dark labdanum, tonka bean and the scent of an extinguished bonfire close in around you...and all that's left is smoke in the dark.
Key notes - Bonfire smoke, Black Cashmere, Black Resin, Labdanum, Tonka Bean, Amber, Rose, Mandarin, Saffron, Tobacco, White Pepper, Cedar, White Chocolate Truffle
Sirens are dangerous creatures who lure nearby sailors, with their enchanting music and beautiful voices, to their deaths by drowning and shipwrecks on the rocky coasts. Salt water spray, sea grass, Icelandic kelp and sea salt surround you while the promise of warm sun, sand, and driftwood beckon you closer to shore. Sweet lychee fruit and the aroma of blooming dahlia's perfume the air as her song grows sweeter to your ears. You'll never taste the fruit but how could it's sweetness compare to the siren's kiss as she pulls you to the depths below. Alluring and deadly, the siren's song is hard to resist, and even harder to forget.
Key notes - Salt Water Spray, Sea Salt, Dahlia, Lychee Fruit, Sand, Driftwood, Kelp, Dark Ocean Water, Regret
The kelpie is a shape-shifting water spirit inhabiting the lochs and pools of Scotland described as a demon in the shape of a black horse. A kelpie is a mercurial creature that is both alluring and haunting. They roam the murky lochs, rising from the depths of the water to lure small children to their death, emerging from the moors and transforming into handsome strangers that seduce young maidens, and luring victims into the dark depths of rivers only to devour them. Beware the flowing eddies that nourish ferns and water lilies where the sweet water meets the salt, for it is there that they lay in waiting.
Key notes - Black Sea Salt, Kelp, Mist, Murky Loch Water, Water Lily, Ferns, Moss, Damp Earth, Tonka Bean
Imagine, if you will, crisp white birch trees that stand stark in layers of snow, crisp ozone sharp in the air that fills your lungs, frozen moss and earth crushed beneath your feet as you flee into the forest. You flee because a ravenous voice in the wind calls your name. Dense mist clings to your clothes and the smell of evergreen fir needles and cypress trees lead you to the wet banks of a half-frozen river. The snap of fresh ice cold water fills the air and you breathe it deep as it may be your last. There's a hunger that is upon you, the sweet smell of decay and death mingles with winter paperwhites and dry bones, and then a spray of warm blood melting the snow. After licking your bones, this creature of evil and starvation and barren winter is never satisfied, continuing it's search for another warm victim to quell it's never-ending famine.
(Inspired by the folklore of the First Nations Algonquian people)

This custom blended fragrance is inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven". "The Raven" is a narrative poem noted for its musicality, stylized language, and supernatural atmosphere. It tells of a talking raven's mysterious visit to a distraught lover, tracing the man's slow fall into madness as he mourn's the loss of his beautiful Lenore. Reminiscent of roasted chestnuts and warm spices of clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg, evoking images of dark fall nights beneath a full moon. Black wings take flight with dark whispers of anise and black licorice swirled with the smoky aroma of roasted Earl Grey tea leaves. Decadent labdanum, an intoxicating mixture of leather with musk and amber, is contrasted with the crispness of wild ferns and pine needles amidst the smokiness of redwood embers.
